Privacy Policy
How we handle the information you share with Build From Abroad.
Last updated: 9 September 2026
1. Who we are
Build From Abroad is a programme operated by Bright Bridge. Bright Bridge is the controller of personal information collected through this website, its forms and direct communications.
2. Information we collect
- Your name and email address when you join the newsletter, request a resource or access a class.
- The resource, class or form you selected, so we can send the correct material.
- Messages you send to us and the information needed to respond.
- Technical and security information, such as basic request logs, device or browser data and consent preferences.
- Where you consent to marketing cookies, campaign and website activity collected through the Meta Pixel, such as page visits and successful Starter Hub registrations.
- Purchase and support information made available by Payhip. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
3. Why we use it
- To deliver requested resources, classes, newsletters and programme updates.
- To provide purchased digital content and customer support.
- To keep the website, forms and services secure and working properly.
- To understand performance and improve our offers where you have consented to relevant analytics.
- To measure Meta advertising performance and attribute successful Starter Hub registrations where you have consented to marketing cookies.
- To meet legal, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations.
4. Our lawful bases
We rely on consent for optional email marketing, analytics and advertising measurement; contract where information is needed to deliver a purchase or requested service; legitimate interests for security, administration and service improvement; and legal obligation where records must be retained by law. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email.
5. Service providers
We use carefully selected providers to operate the service, including MailerLite for email delivery, Netlify for website hosting, Payhip for checkout and digital delivery, and business email and technical providers where necessary. If you accept marketing cookies, the Meta Pixel provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited receives website and campaign event data so we can measure advertising performance. Meta may process that data under its own privacy terms. These providers process information for the services they provide and under their applicable privacy commitments.
6. International transfers
Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations or recognised contractual protections.
7. How long we keep information
Newsletter information is retained until you unsubscribe or the list is cleaned for inactivity. Purchase, support and legal records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for delivery, accounting, dispute handling and applicable legal requirements.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to processing. You may also withdraw consent. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
9. Children
Build From Abroad is designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when our tools, providers or legal obligations change. The current version will always be published on this page.
