Is this for you?

Designed for the reality of building from abroad

Distance changes how you test an idea, choose people, release money and verify what is happening on the ground.

01

You are still shaping the idea

You need to decide what is worth testing before you commit serious money, appoint people or sign long agreements.

02

You have started, but too much rests on trust

You need to know who is doing what, how the work is being checked, how problems are raised and what happens when a key person leaves, so the business is not relying on your constant physical presence.

03

You want support while doing the work

You value expert challenge, a founder group and deadlines that turn good intentions into usable business documents.

The six-week journey

One business. Six evidence gates.

Each week answers a decision you must be able to make before the next investment of money, time or trust.

Week 1

Choose the opportunity

Define the real problem, surface your assumptions and decide what deserves testing.

Week 2

Test demand

Gather evidence from real potential customers and separate interest from willingness to buy.

Week 3

Test people, suppliers and cover

Verify capability, expose conflicts and put sensible limits around access and authority.

Week 4

Prove the numbers

Pressure-test price, costs, cash needs and the financial assumptions behind your plan.

Week 5

Build remote controls and staffing resilience

Design the checks, reporting, escalation and backup arrangements the business needs.

Week 6

Make the decision

Choose to proceed, adjust or stop, then turn the evidence into a practical 90-day roadmap.

What you will leave with

Working documents for your actual business

The aim is not a perfect business plan. It is a useful evidence pack that makes your next decision safer and clearer.

  • Opportunity briefThe business problem, customer and assumptions worth testing.
  • Demand evidenceWhat real customers did, said and paid, plus what still needs proving.
  • People and supplier planChecks, limits, working expectations and backup arrangements.
  • Financial viability summaryPrice, costs, cash exposure and the numbers that determine your decision.
  • Remote operations planReporting, approvals, spot checks, escalation and continuity controls.
  • 90-day roadmapYour evidence-led decision and the next actions, owners and review points.
Led by Davinia

Practical challenge, applied to your real business.

Davinia Edafioka, founder of Bright Bridge, designed the Business Lab around a disciplined process: define the decision, test the assumptions, document the evidence and turn it into practical controls and next actions.

Her role is to guide the work, challenge weak assumptions and help founders keep moving. The Lab does not replace legal, tax, regulatory or investment advice.

Bring a live business question. Leave with evidence, decisions and work you can use.
How the Lab works

Learn it, apply it, bring back the evidence.

Live guided sessions
Work through the decision of the week with practical teaching and discussion. Facilitator-led teaching and demonstrations are recorded and made available to registered cohort participants until 30 days after the final live session for catch-up and review.

Business Lab workbooks
Use structured prompts, templates and evidence gates to do the work properly.

Founder accountability
Learn alongside people facing the same distance, trust and control challenges.

Responsible use of AI
Use AI to organise research and draft documents, then verify every material fact and keep responsibility for the final work.

About 4 to 5.5 hours a week, including a 90-minute live session.

Clear expectations

Practical support without false promises

This is

  • A hands-on, guided implementation programme
  • A structured way to test and improve a real business
  • A place to make evidence-led decisions with support

This is not

  • A done-for-you business launch
  • A promise of profit or guaranteed investment success
  • Legal, tax, regulatory or investment advice
